ABOUT THE SHOW

As part of our mission, Lyric Theatre has presented a Discovery Series of semi-staged concerts, featuring light operas that were popular during their initial runs, but have fallen into obscurity since.

​

Garden of Treasures is inspired by the natural imagery and figurative language featured in song lyrics from the late-19th and early 20th Century, and this concert will feature works by Nicanor Abelardo, Bob Cole, Samuel Coleridge Taylor, Chiquinha Gonzaga, and J. Rosamond Johnson.
